Book your appointment, pay at time of service, and we'll send you a Superbill to submit to your insurance for reimbursement if you want it. That's it!

Why do we not bill your insurance?
Insurance billing pulls hours every week into paperwork, claim appeals, and benefit verifications. Skipping that frees up that time so we can focus on what actually matters: spending more time with patients in the treatment room, growing our skills and services, and bringing more wellness to the community.

USING YOUR OUT-OF-NETWORK BENEFITS FOR ACUPUNCTURE

HOW ACUPUNCTURE REIMBURSEMENT WORKS

Even if we're not in your insurance network, you may still have coverage. Many insurance plans offer out-of-network benefits that reimburse you for acupuncture treatments.

Here's the simple process:

  1. Book your appointment

  2. Pay when you receive your service (psst.. we take FSA and HSA!)

  3. Ask us for a Superbill (we’ll email it)

  4. Submit it to your insurance for review

WHAT’S AN ACUPUNCTURE SUPERBILL?

A Superbill is your key to reimbursement. It's a detailed receipt that includes everything your insurance needs:

  • Treatment dates and diagnosis codes

  • Procedure codes for acupuncture services

  • Our practice information and tax ID

  • Total amount paid

We automatically prepare Superbills for any patient who requests one—just ask at checkout or contact us after your visit.

IF YOU WANT TO CHECK YOUR BENEFITS FIRST

Some people like to know what to expect before booking. If that's you, call the number on the back of your card and ask:

  • Do I have out-of-network benefits for acupuncture?

  • What's my out-of-network deductible?

  • What percentage will you reimburse?

  • How many acupuncture visits do you cover per year?

  • What's the process for submitting superbills?

Write down the representative's name and reference number. Insurance companies sometimes give different answers, so documentation helps.

  • Depends on your plan. If you have out-of-network benefits for acupuncture, usually yes - at some percentage or dollar amount. Call the number on the back of your card to find out specifics.

  • Most insurance companies accept submissions through their online portal or app. Some also accept mail or fax. Processing typically takes 2-4 weeks. If your claim gets denied, resubmitting with additional information often works.

  • Yes. Put your HSA or FSA card on file when you fill out your paperwork.

  • No.

  • We don't bill any of these directly. Book with us, pay at the time of service, and submit your Superbill if you have out-of-network benefits.
